Speaking for myself, the city has treated us fairly well with 3 MVC tournament championships in the last 7 years and our first Sweet Sixteen appearance. We have a familiarity and comfort level with the downtown St. Louis area. Moving to KC might just be a good excuse for some fans (of other schools as well) to "just sit this one out."

Saying it is the equivalent of moving back to campuses is idiotic.
As already mentioned, CU and WSU attendance would increase by at least 50% or possibly double. I think there would be more MSU folks too, and more UNI. There might be a slight uptick in Drake fans.
It provides more exposure to another major media market for the MVC.
A rotation would be great for the MVC.
From talking to some folks at the Kansas City Sports Commission, I am not sure they tried very hard to get this business. Maybe they underestimated the MVC.
Without a major, regular tenant at the Sprint Center I would think they would try hard to get a 4-day tenant.
However, they wouldn't want to screw anything up with the Big 12. The only way for the MVC to get to to KC would be to have the tourney when the Big 12 is in Dallas or OKC.
I wonder how the Big 12 becoming the Big 10 affects their post season tourney.
