I shudder to think what the reaction would be if this happened to Drake, effectively killing their at large chances. Drake fans would have burned the whole city to the ground.

I'm also certain an extra win over UNI would have absolutely helped their chances for the at large too.

I'm stunned other Valley ADs and coaches aren't speaking out strongly against this and holding the MVC accountable. Unless I'm missing it. Missouri State should be furious, Loyola should be furious, even Drake should be furious even though it helped them get to the championship.

This wasn't some crazy 1 in a million goof up.
Based on what we now know, this was a disaster just waiting to happen to any team last weekend.

And sorry not sorry, but anyone who brushes this off with, "well the team that got screwed probably wasn't gonna win anyways", is a dumbass.

My thoughts on this situation can be found on my post this week, if you're interested. Best of luck to Loyola and hopefully Drake!

MoState fan here and yes I would have much preferred played a Drake team that wasn't well rested. Given the fact that we lost by 2pts... can't help but believe that fresh legs were the difference there. But who knows.

The state of Missouri has generally been pretty accommodating for doing things and finding solutions, however for better or worse, STL has been notoriously heavy handed and rigid with significantly more restrictions than the rest of the state including Kansas City. So I was a bit surprised the tournament wasn't moved to a city that would be a bit more flexible and accommodating. I was kind of surprised they even allowed it to take place at all.
