great game aces. You gave us all we wanted and then some. It was a foulfest but an entertaining game to watch.

Ya and if the shockers would not have turn the ball over they would have won... O wait we did win.
im joking with you. The Evansville team the shockers played tonight is a LOT better then what they were 2 months ago!! They had great defensive pressure all night. They are going to be a tough team to play in St. Louis.

P.S.- please win your bracket buster!

If the Buster game were at Roberts, I think you would get your wish. The Aces have yet to learn how to beat a really good team on the road. The lack of an inside game has killed them all year, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

The Aces' defense tonight v. the Aces' defense in Wichita is like comparing day to night.

The Aces' defense tonight is what we usually see from Coach Simmons. They were rough and tough.

I tend to agree with this, but it wasn't just not blocking out. WSU's guards were too quick, which means lots of helping, which led to everybody being out of position and then WSU crashed the boards hard. I gotta give the Shockers credit, they're a tough team, very big and athletic. That said, I thought our bigs did a commendable job on defense, we just have NO ONE that can go up and get rebounds in traffic against a big, athletic team like that. It was a good game to watch, with the exception of the inconsistent refs. I knew when I saw that crew, it was gonna be a long night. I guess a typical Valley game where the refs think everyone came out to watch them........I am NOT blaming the loss on the refs at all, just getting tired of the inconsistent calls for both teams. Congrats Shocks, good game.

Wow! the Shox played really bad tonight. They could throw the ball to anything or anybody that wasn't wearing a black shirt. I haven't checked a box score yet, but I think the FG % was pretty bad. That was a poorly played game for the Shox.

The shox don't want any part of Evansville in the tournament. The refs really controlled the game on both ends.

I thought Higgins did a fine job. He is one of the last real refs left in the valley. Last night he refereed the ku-Ksu game.

For all the ACes fans other than Aces1982:

Nice D. It was probably a little better than Aces fans realize. Not only was UE denying shots, they were taking the Shox out of their offense. There were times the Shox were all standing around wondering what to do because they had been taken completely out of their offense.

It looked like Ryan ran out of gas about half-way through the second half. If he kept hitting the way he had been, it would have been a very different game.

Incredibly improved team since early in the season.
