A great game played the way it's supposed to be played. Tough D (both teams), battle for every board and loose ball, and clutch shots. Even better because of a Valley team beating a team too "big" for the Valley.

Anybody got the box score numbers for Hemphill? I missed portions of the game but he looked as expected like he was rusty and not himself.

Obviously the team effort was great but what might we expect from Hemphill next time out?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! LFG! I absolutely hate Wichita and watching them lose to Drake after leading like 90% of the game is priceless. Between their former POS coach, their crybaby fans, and their administration crying about the Valley holding them back for 4 years and how you can't get a good steak in Peoria, I have no lost love for them. Oh yeah the Valley is still holding them back. How many tournament wins do they have again since they left? Oh yeah ZERO lmao.

Just read the Shocker message board. I had forgotten how delusional they are. They seem to think they are a national powerhouse who should never lose to t a lowly Valley team. All screaming for their coach to be fired. Drake played about thirty minutes of it's worst basketball of the season in that game. Lucky to win, but WSU was lucky we played so poorly.

Both teams were far from their best but anybody thinking that firing the AAC Coach of the Year who won them the conference in a tumultuous year that should have been a lost season for them needs to breathe and take a step back. That program is going to be fine. This is huge for Drake and the conference though! Getting this win was a real statement and can only help the MVC going forward!
