They just did it - Lady Bears are back in the Sweet 16 for the second tournament in a row. Now they get #1 seed Stanford, the very same team that beat the Lady Bears in the Sweet 16 last time.

Stanford not just a #1 seed, but THE # 1 SEED. An extremely difficult task ahead for the Lady Bears; Stanford is the whole package, long, big, athletic, deep , experienced . May be the best team the Lady Bears have played in 17 NCAA tourney trips, and we've played and beaten 1 seeds before. But hey, this is the level we aspire to and expect to be at, so lets get at it Lady Bears. :bounce:

Great season for MSU, but Stanford just had way too much firepower today.

No doubt. Stanford is dang good and really ran the Lady Bears off the court. Proud of this team and what they've accomplished, though. Two Sweet 16 trips in back-to-back tournaments (with a good gap year in between) is a big accomplishment in of itself.
