I dunno about the “Valpo kid” and his sources, but Jeff Goodman and John Rothstein are saying the same thing.

Actually they are saying it’s done. TIFWIW

Unrelated, but I need to rant on this. This kid knows nothing. He continually pulls stuff that looks probable and claims "sources" as if he's some industry insider.

Last year, he was just some kid in the Valpo student section. Now, he writes incoherent articles with attention-seeking headlines and then tweets all the big MVC guys to read his garbage.

I've seen people citing this kid as a source. He is proof that a nobody can just start a blog, tweet 100 mph, and somehow stumble into a platform, no matter how often they’re wrong or have no idea what they’re talking about in their articles.

This isn’t to say Porter won’t take the OU job or anything - just that this kid is not credible and virtually everything he does is with the end goal of drawing attention to himself.

Gotta love that some Valpo kid would have "multiple sources" inside Loyola. I shouldn't have given his blog clicks but it was pretty amusing.

I also saw some other rando at Loyola try to break the news that Moser told the team he was staying put last week, that rumor also gained alot of traction for being utterly irreputable.

For big conferences, this junk gets buried under a bunch of real coverage. In the MVC, it's far too easy for this crap to find the spotlight.

Well, turns out he was correct on this one

Tough day for Loyola fans. I really thought he was going to stay. I also thought the Oklahoma offer was going to be more than $2.5M.

The only way to keep this kind of stuff from happening is to cap coaching salaries. And absolutely ZERO coaches will agree to that.

I cant speak for you but I would take a Final Four and a Sweet 16 and league titles and lose my coach as opposed to just being "pretty good" for 10+ years and never making a national splash.

That said - I don't envy the next guy.

Yes, but this kid wasn’t in the know or anything. He flipped a coin, had a 50% chance of being right, and plastered “sources” on it. He’s done this in the past, and would just delete the tweet after he was wrong.

It would be like you or I pretending to be an insider.

Good lord now he is trying to stunt on Twitter thinking he's hot sh*t. I wish I never knew about this kid.

He saw a tweet saying Moser was a leading candidate, and now he wants credit for predicting the painfully obvious. What a loser

Congrats to Mark Adams on the Texas Tech job. This is like when Todd Golden landed the San Francisco job.

Sean Miller out at Arizona...

Any chance that Arizona comes looking at Valley coaches like Devries or coach Jake to fill that position?

I have my doubts, but they both seem like class individuals who run programs on the up and up, and that may be something that Arizona should look in to.
