So he went from a bench player on an NCAA team (when Penn is healthy) to...a bench player on another NCAA team...With less minutes than before. Congrats.

When I was thinking Blue Bloods, I was thinking quite literally the teams that are Blue. Your Kentucky, Duke, UNC, and Kansas.

Zags may be considered a new age blue blood. When I proposed the same question on RedbirdFan, someone mentioned Nick Zeisloft transferred from ILST to Indiana. In my lifetime, Gonzaga has been more relevant nationally than Indiana.

I almost brought up Cook to Gonzaga. Thinking they may be some sort of new age blue blood, but then I thought better of it due to their lack of National Championships... Yes, Gonzaga is more relevant than Indiana now, but at least Indiana has some hardware in the trophy case, but I also consider Indiana as a someone with old money that is now bankrupt, but still think they are a power player in the game.

Realistically, Carolina, Kentucky, Duke and Kansas are the only 'true' blue bloods and in that order.

It'll be interesting as hell to see what happens to Duke when K dies/retires because they're going to keep it in the family and nobody has really done much away from K. Jon Scheyer is probably the guy and he's never been a head coach.

I can say, I was not expecting that. Can anyone think of any other MVC players that transferred to a Blue Blood?

Yeah, Aaron Cook to the Zags last year. If the Zags have been elevated to Blueblood status.

Added Jakolby Long out of SIU. Not a big loss for the Dawgs.

Doesn't really fit our most glaring needs , but he is a versatile 6'7 athlete , so he can help. Always liked him coming out of HS, had a nice freshman year, but obviously struggled , especially shooting the ball last year. But he can defend, rebound, and handle decently. His 35 blocks would have led the Bears and he did have 60+ assists as well. He fits along the front line with Hervey and gives us time to see if youngsters like Wicks and Ebonkoli can progress and contribute .
