Krutwig Goes Pro

Certainly not much of a surprise to anyone.

Krut will go down as one of the top players in MVC history regardless of where his pro career takes him. Absolutely dominate all 13 years he was at Loyola. He was a main cog in keeping the MVC relevant once Wichita State left and will continue to be a great ambassador for the league.

I think his career could be a potential recruiting point for all MVC teams. "It's not about where you do it, its about how you do it. You can be one of the greatest college hoopers of all time in this league."

Congrats to him on an outstanding career.

It does seem like he's been there FOREVER. Good luck to Krut. I hope he does well in the NBA!

Loyola confirmed today that their other four seniors are coming back for their "extra" year

I'm surprised with everyone coming back they couldnt convince krutwig and porter to stay for 1 more year. there would have been good schools next year. Even good schools near metropolitan areas like Oklahoma. Notre Dame, Northwestern, California are some of the more prominent ones.

That's a lot of moving pieces, there's no way they're sitting everyone down and having them all make a decision in a matter of a couple days that OU offered Moser. It's just not realistic to ask that of everyone, and Porter clearly wanted out and loved the OU offer/AD. Krutwig really has no reason to come back, his stock isn't going to increase. He got a bachelors in entrepreneurship, there's no point in getting a masters. He may as well go make some money and play professionally.

Even losing Krut, the Ramblers are going to be somewhat deeper. No matter what we should have at least one former all valley selection coming off the bench (and a minimum of two fifth year seniors). Going to be a lot of mouths to feed... this is the BENCH:

Marquise Kennedy/TY Johnson (freshman)
Ryan Schweiger (Princeton Transfer)/Paxson Wojcik
Tate Hall/Ben Schwieger (Freshman)
Damezi Anderson (Indiana Transfer)/Saint Thomas
Chris Knight (2 time Second League all Ivy)/Tom Welch

I could see Knight starting over Hutson, but could also see him in that Aundre Jackson type role, could be lethal with Kennedy.

Every top scorer in the MVC under 6-8 has to be cursing Williamson’s return. That guy is no fun to go against.
