Jays win 75-59. Two straight strong games for the Jays. Hill for ISUR was unstoppable though.

It was a somewhat sloppy game and the refs seemed to lose control at points. Echineque got hurt and left but later returned.

McDermott apparently has learned that 75 is an important number. With the score at 72 and with walkons finishing out the game, unlike in the past, he let the kids shoot the trey until the fans got pizza.

McDermott said after the game that had ISU-red called off the dogs, he probably would have backed off, but if ISU-R was going to continue pressing to the buzzer, then he wasn't going to stop playing. He also mentioned that it is pretty tough to tell the walk-ons who bust their butt everyday in practice to go out and just hold the ball when they get their chance to get in a game.

If ISU's starters are gonna practice their press (which they need to do) then Creighton's walk-ons can chuck away.

No hard feelings from Redbird Country from anyone I've heard from.
