Been burned enough that I'll believe nothing until I see a Racer bus unloading in front of the ARC. Even then I may ask all of them for some positive identification! :Yea!:

The next step I'd like to see is creating another challenge similar to the MVC-Mountain West challenge we had in the past to help with scheduling. I think a challenge with the Atlantic-10, American, or the Mountain West again could really benefit all parties.

What about lumping 3-5 conferences together as a consortium and doing challenges among all of them? Like for example MVC-A10-MWC-WCC-AAC each team gets two home two away based on metrics to ensure quality matchups and hopefully increase odds of at large bids for all involved. I feel like we're in a position of strength now coming off multiple bids ourselves and adding two great programs especially with the hit the AAC just took and the fact that the MWC might be about to lose Colorado State and Boise State down the line.

No chance AAC and A10 would do that.

If true, Thursday at Arch Madness will be a lot busier, and hopefully get some fans. Now there will be 4 games, including every seed up to the 5. Which in this conference, could be multiple schools that think they can still win it all!

Thursday went from the “low” schools playing to now being “everyone but the top”.

You'd think that but how much better is the AAC-Houston Cincinnati and UCF than the MVC+Murray and Belmont I would think it's a lot closer than you think. Same with the A10. I feel the gap has closed significantly especially if the AAC is about to add a bad basketball school like Air Force.

UCF is not anything special in basketball.

True but they aren't a bad program either. And Memphis has one foot out the door as well as potentially SMU or USF. Even if it's just Memphis that's a massive blow no matter who else the AAC adds. There's a real chance we can be better than the AAC in a few years.

I've also heard San Diego State is in the running for the Big 12 which is why they didn't go to the AAC like Boise State. Makes sense. Top 10 city in population, top 25 in TV market, under construction state of the art new stadium, gets the Big 12 in a hot recruiting bed in California, and sustained success.

This would be a welcome addition. 2 very good adds for the Valley!
