Trivia Quiz

Postby cu8493 » February 17th, 2011, 1:31 pm

Doug McDermott's 18 points last night made him just the third freshman in MVC history to score at least 400 points and grab at least 200 rebounds. Who are the other two? (I know its a shameless way to plug Doug's achievement, but what the heck)

Hint: they are from the same school (same as each other not CU).

I believe Cleo was not allowed to play as a freshman due to NCAA rules, no?

McDermott gets my vote as freshman of the year and probably second team all conference. But I believe he is in an unique position to have two very good inside men, Echenique and Lawson, and maybe the best point guard, Young (Ahelegbe ?), in the conference to spread the defense for him. This is not to take anything away from Doug as every other team in the Valley wishes they had him. I expect before he graduates he will be player of the year.

He's got a banner hanging in Koch Arena.

Not saying you should have known that, just telling you how good he was.

I don't think I can find five players to put in front of him.

Weems - a first team lock
Warren - seems to be pretty close to a lock
Durley - probably has been WSU's best player

After that, there are bunch of guys that are 50/50 and certainly not 1st team locks. Heck, I'm not sure Durley is a lock.
