Loyola 16
Drake 10
MSU 8
UNI 8
Valpo 5
Bradley 4
ISUr 4
ISUb 4
SIU 4
Evansville 3

Kinda mirrors what the preseason polls have at least at the top.

Throw in the MTEs and it gets Loyola to 19, Drake to 13, UNI to 11, ISUb to 7 and ISUr to 6.

Loyola and UNI's home produced games are also on NBC Sports Chicago and ISUr's are on Marquee. Anybody else have that regional set up?

All in all, Elgin's legacy is going to be how accessible he made the product from a TV standpoint and that's a huge factor in turning the league around.

CBS also sends a regional weekend announce team to do the game so it's apparent they value it.

I'd also be pretty surprised if they pull the plug on CBS Sports Net. They've got lots of college deals plus some other inexpensive niche sports.

And you're right. It's good to be Drake, Loyola, MoSt and UNI with this schedule. I can see how others may not feel the same way.

CBS has been better to the league as a whole than ESPN has been the last 20 years. I'm sure they would love to add us to their portfolio, especially with Chicago and Nashville markets, and maybe get an entire day of quarterfinal coverage on a national platform, rather than regional.

I would hope we would at least talk to CBS and see what they'd be willing to give us. Paramount/CBS is all about brands and properties right now and they would showcase the Valley to drive traffic, where ESPN, the Valley would continue to be just one of a million properties and not featured or showcased in any meaningful way.

I don't disagree, however, the problem becomes that CBS Sports Net is in 30 million fewer homes than ESPN and ESPN2 are.

All streaming has done so far is give us cable without a contract. It's still evolving and I wish we were renegotiating in 2028 instead of 2024.
