True. The margin was 50+ fairly early in the second half. Bulldogs playing without one starter, and the guys who started probably didn't play more than 15-18 minutes each.

I think Okay Djamgouz played the most minutes for Drake with 24, and he led the team in scoring with 16.

Tucker DeVries is gonna be real good.

I couldn't be an AD, I wouldn't have let Lottich into the locker room tonight and FedExed him his belongings

Unacceptable.

Maybe they need another name change?

The cool thing about Beacon is that it sounds like "beer can" in a British accent and "bacon" in a Jamaican accent at the same time.

On behalf of Valpo's fanbase I am sorry. We continue to let this conference down. I know we have some injuries and a lot of new faces but this performance is wholly unacceptable. I want to say that it will get better and we will make the MVC proud one day but I just don't see that in the foreseeable future. Not while Lottich is still at the helm. I really am worried that he has done longstanding damage to the program and that recovery from his tenure will not be easy. Maybe I'm overreacting but this is a sad and scary time to be a Valpo fan because it's hard to know when things will turn around. It's also very hard to remain hopeful. Again I'm sorry Valpo has been such a disappointment. I expected we'd struggle a bit as we adjusted to the MVC but I never expected that we'd be this bad to the point where we'd be dropping exhibitions to D2 teams. At least they don't count so they won't tank the Conference's NET rating but I fear that's coming. If we can't beat D2s even good D2s how the hell are we going to expect to beat Toledo or UIC or even Coastal Carolina?

I might say that this is a slight overreaction given the fact that The Beacons have not yet played a single regular season game.

At least the other 5 Valley teams in action tonight all won by double digits.

It seems like a normal reaction, losing both exhibition games against two DII schools is pretty damn bad.

I don't think any of the other teams played a team of the same caliber as Flagler but that doesn't matter. D1 teams should beat D2 teams regardless of circumstance. Full stop. Maybe one night (like the Ashland game where Ashland shot the ball amazingly well) could be forgiven maybe just losing to the #2 ranked team in D2 would be something that might be excusable but not both. Everyone has an off night but you certainly can't lose TWO of these games. Like I said this is a 10 seed until they prove they are worthy of more consideration. Shorthanded or not new faces or not good D2 teams or not if you're as good as we fans were led to believe you have to win these games.

No this is awful. Even if they do win regular season games, they are still called the Beacons, which is embarrassing enough.
