Hey now, Jank had his fair share of double digit leads slip away. Maybe a few less because you don't give up leads against the likes of Sam Houston State or Nicholls.

People made fun of him for scheduling cupcakes, but I don't see Muller's scheduling being any tougher.

At least Jank had double the amount of 20 win seasons in half the years.

Man, this conference has really dropped the ball in quality games so far this year. That includes Drake (sorry we played so terribly).

Top two teams in the league really blew some good opportunities in the last 48 hours.

Drake got lucky with the Iona over Bama upset. They have a chance to get a good win tomorrow vs the Tide.

I think the Valley is back to 1-bid league status at this point. Let's have some fun the rest of the non-conference, our opponents have more to lose than we do at this point.

I think Drake and Loyola are both fine for at-large bids as long as they take care of business in most games the rest of the way

While it would certainly help to win these games against the P5 teams, on paper they aren't having any bad losses yet and aren't getting blown out. That is on paper though. If it was the P5 team on selection Sunday, a close loss to Drake or Loyola wouldn't hurt them but, as "mid majors" it is viewed as not good enough to play well against the Q1 teams so only time will tell but yes, they "should" be fine if they take care of business.

UNI has enough opportunities left to get themselves toward the bubble as well.

Still have St Bonaventure, Richmond, Marshall, Liberty for sure plus the possibility of Stanford and BYU.

The road is much harder but a path exists.

Just a general question... Are mid-majors being too stubborn on getting home games when it comes to scheduling? There are better games available, but the excuse I've always heard is that nobody will come to their arena.

You mean play like Bellarmine this year? Or SWAC teams every year?

If this gives you an idea, the only road game against a mid major anyone from the Big Ten OR Big 12 is playing is Oklahoma State is going to Oral Roberts. Oklahoma State has a postseason ban this year as well.

Money unfortunately has a lot to do with it, especially right now trying to make up last season's losses. A half full arena where only 1/4th of the season ticket holders show up makes money while traveling to a mid-major costs money for no gain.
