It just shows you that if you don't bring it every night, you are in for a dog fight in the MVC.
Givance brought the Aces back from a 17 point deficit, scored 31 points and, almost beat the Salukies by himself. SIU better hope that nothing happens to Domask or they will be fighting the Aces for last place, which they might be anyway. They could probably say the same thing about Givance who is a first team All Conference player.
I don't know which is worse. The fact that you think Givance is a first team all conference player, or that you think that Evansville is remotely close to SIU and both being close to the bottom. SIU is down most likely 2 starters with Brown and Jones, the latter being our leading scorer this year. Givance had a career night (which might've been limited better by SIU had Jones played and guarded him), Evansville played as well as they could (which still isn't that good), and was at home...And yet they still lost to SIU.
I am very disappointed in this year's Aces and Licklitter but to say Evansville played as well as they could indicates you missed the entire first half and about 5 minutes into the 2nd. In the first half Evansville played as bad as they could. One of the worst 20 minutes of the season.
