I can understand going to 11 with UIC because of the need to maintain the Chicago market.

How are the private schools going to vote to add four publics and no privates?

The private schools are the ones who want UMKC and UTA who are both public schools.

I understand that is what has been reported, but that is two and not four.

Is there already a deal in place to a private or two that hasn't been reported?

It's surprising, but I have not heard anything about any more private schools being added. There are plenty available and in big markets.

No, that's Murray with Missouri State in close pursuit.

What is Murray College going to do with football? Indiana State is the only MVFC school that voted to accept them.

I need a source about that Indiana State claim.

She didn't break up with me! I dumped her!

 Cope.

We did cope. It took all of 12 seconds to replace you with something better. Get over yourself.

Let's calm down. I think Loyola's fan base were just as surprised by the move as most people. And they have definitely been much cooler than most Wichita fans were by far.

Belmont has pedigree but is not better. That absurd to even claim. Loyola has a final four and sweet 16 in the last 4 years and is in a track to the big east

I understand the difficulties with scheduling but, in theory, what would be wrong with having an 8 team conference? Wouldn't you beat each other up less and have more opportunities to enhance your at large resume? If 3 teams did very well non-con and had less games to give each other losses, why wouldn't that increase the chances to get multiple bids with less splitting of the pie?

Answered your own question. We can't get 13 games scheduled without having to go to a couple non-DIs. I can't even comprehend trying to get 17 and having dates to fill in mid-January.

It looks like UMKC said no to some renovations as a condition of admittance.

Omaha has the 307th ranked MBB budget, #58 MSA, $75 million endowment, & 2 MVC schools with 1% alumni shares.

NKU has the 175th ranked MBB budget, #30 MSA, $100 million endowment, & 2 MVC schools with 1% alumni shares.

Even if finances/demographics exclusively drive the decision for that final spot, NKU is decisively better.

(And that’s *without* even mentioning on-court criteria, NKU having a better arena, or NKU having better fan support.)

Yet NKU apparently hasn’t been invited to present on December 19!

NKU is obviously not a candidate. Real shame we can't get the Illinois and Indiana schools yet another bus trip.

I don't love Omaha either but, selfishly, it would be nice to have a 3rd bus trip. Gets old spending more and more of that budget on jet fuel.
