She didn't break up with me! I dumped her!

We did cope. It took all of 12 seconds to replace you with something better. Get over yourself.

Where the hell have you been the past four years? Belmont is a great program but one has clearly out performed the other in recent history. Delusional and emotional take.

After pondering for awhile and changing my mind a few times,, I've settled on only Murray getting a guaranteed invite ... UIC would be my second pick, but ONLY IF they promise to improve their basketball program.

Yeah, I'm a Belmont fan, alum, and former player under Coach Byrd. I love our program and am really excited about the future but the idea that Belmont is an upgrade from Loyola is pretty bonkers.

Blvdier, I'm glad to see you on here. Your insight would be great. What years did you play? I was a season ticket holder until 2014 when I moved out of town. I went back to school at Belmont and graduated in 2002. My daughter, who is a big fan and a season ticket holder until she moved out of town, graduated in 2014.

I think we’re all glad to finally be rid of the Catholic schools and their Roman popery. Sister Jean votes how the archbishop tells her to vote and he gets his orders from the man in the pointy hat what sits on his throne. Thank god I’ll die an American.

Publics and privates need to split

Gateway Conference (10 public scholarship football schools -- MAC of the FCS)

Illinois State
Indiana State
Missouri State
Murray State
North Dakota
North Dakota State
Northern Iowa
South Dakota
South Dakota State
Southern Illinois

The only problem with this is the conference gets taken out of the major population markets but the football quality is so damn good for FCS so it might not matter much.

Missouri Valley Conference (16 non-scholarship or no football schools. Truly a basketball conference and they all should be on the same page)

Belmont
Bradley
Detroit Mercy
Drake
Evansville
Illinois-Chicago
Milwaukee
Northern Kentucky
Omaha
Oral Roberts
St. Thomas
Texas-Arlington
Valparaiso
Wright State

Or combine the conferences for a 24-team super-conference. That would mean 16-8 in favor of publics vs privates. 14-10 in favor of non-scholarship football or no football vs scholarship football. 13-11 in favor of football schools vs non-football schools. There are gives and takes both ways. I say we start a super-conference.

This league would be a dream come true. I think we'd rival the Mountain West as a conference in no time. The rivalries and the quality in football and basketball would be intense.

God no. No interest in a new NCC. None.
