There isn't a team out there that helps the MVC become a multi bid league. The answer to that lies in the performance of the teams already in the league who have gotten worse over time and have lowered standards to success.

Interesting take. Have fun with your top games of the year being against Morehead State, Little Rock, and SEMO. I'm really not sure how that is better than battling it out with Belmont, Drake, Northern Iowa, and possibly others (hopefully my Salukis over the next couple of years).

I know you're insulted by competing with historically lesser basketball programs but get real here. In the new version of the OVC, Murray would be guaranteed basically 9-10 NCAA tournaments over the next 10 seasons but be a 15-16 seed each time. And I'm sure the fans would still brag about having a "national brand" because of their "awesome record."

We wait all this time to get in a conference on the uptick and now they’re looking like OVC-lite is all I’m saying. Sure it beats the OVC but it’s certainly losing it’s luster to me. The SoCon is looking better all the time.

Even the A-10 has plenty of bottom feeders, but they are still an attractive conference. It isn't the bottom of the conference that matters when it comes to at-large bids. Its the top. And the top of the MVC isn't even remotely comparable to the OVC, especially with Belmont switching sides.
