We all do a lot of complaining about the officiating in the MVC. After watching the officials that the Horizon League assigned for Drake's game against Detroit last night, I'm very happy with the "MVC Officials". One of the three officials last night was so bad that I was really wondering if he was being paid off. It was the worst I've ever seen.

Quite honestly, if we don't win STl and make the Dance, give me the CIT again. I would rather play 4 more home games and get our young guys more playing time then be a one and done in the NIT

Under no circumstances should MSU waste games in anything other than the NIT. The NIT would be bare minimum for a reasonable season. If they don't make the NIT, the only reason additional games played in front of family and friends (because those are the only people who would attend) would be useful is if the seniors hit the bench and next year's team play. And since that ain't happening, why bother?

After seeing what it did for this team last year, I wouldn't put it past 'Zo to make the switch to the younger guys and bump up their minutes significantly to make it worth while.

What's the point of being one and done in the NIT? What's the point of any tournament outside of the Dance?

You could at least argue that there are a lot of NIT games on national TV. There is a difference...maybe not by next year, but right now there is.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Serious problems with the valley exposed this year. Teams lack the athletes to compete and the few teams that have the athletes are not smart basketball teams. :buddies:
