Crowds all around the league are small right now. And it doesnt help that Missouri State plays in a huge, well lit arena. When people dont show up it's painfully obvious. In retrospect the move over to JQH may not have been the wisest move. I love JQH and its a beautiful space, but a total remodel of Hammons Student Center may have been more suitable. An 7,500ish seat arena is a better fit for the program as it stands now. But of course if the Bears win and win consistently the crowds will start to show up again.

The crowd was small, but it was a Sunday night game and the first real cold weather of the season. I believe the Bears are second in the league in attendance but nowhere near normal.

Valpo played a nice defensive game...they have some real gamers. Road wins will be tough to come by this year. Who ever represents the Valley in the post season will be well tested and ready to go.

Loyola and Illinois State are off for Wednesday due to COVID at Illinois State.

St. Louis' game against Lasalle for Wednesday off due to COVID in Lasalle program. Would be cool if Drake could make up that game with some last minute scheduling.

24 hours later, and I'm still p*ssed at Bradley and Wardle who had no business losing to a bunch of open gym chuckers and a rookie coach. Wardle couldnt help himself tinkering with our lineup every 4 minutes and changing from what worked defensively on numerous occasions and our upperclassmen in Ville and Reink are as soft as marshmallows. golden opportunity squandered against a sure thursday squad

What’s worse for you is that “sure Thursday squad” was missing three starters! Wardle got flat out out-coached. But it was a fun one to watch. If you didn’t have a horse in the race.
