Maybe the rest of us overrate the actual talent on the MSU roster. I don't know - but I would trade that roster for Bradley's any day of the week.

I don't know, do comments like "Dana is one of the worst coaches in the MVC, he was our only shot at getting back in the game" sound like projection. And last time I looked , probably right at the top of a coaches most necessary skills is recruiting, but right behind that is player development. MSU doesn't have a single 4 star recruit or top 100 player; guys like Black and Patterson and Haney were all just guys coming out of HS,Valpo fans couldn't give away Clay fast enough, and even MU passed on Mosley right in their hometown. Again Dana has his shortcomings, but he does some things well and we are making progress, so I'll leave it at that.

I would agree. I have been a big time Dana Ford defender. Like all coaches he will probably have to make an NCAA Tournament or win the league at some point soon one would think.

Odd question... Are both Bradley and Missouri State better with different head coaches?

No clue.

IMO, the biggest issue I have with all of this is the amount of money spent and contract length for coaches. Right or not - you make $500,000+ a year the expectations are turned up quite a bit.

He didn't "sit him." Terry had a bad first half and didn't start the second half. He still played 16 minutes in the second half. Terry averaged 29 minutes per game coming into this one and he played 25. If you want to criticize Wardle for taking him out for an extended period to send a message, then sure, but there are a lot of things Bradley did wrong and a lot of decisions that you could question of Wardle if you wanted to.

"Benching Terry in the second half" is not one of them.

When a guy who has started every game and started every half for you and is your leading scorer doesn’t start the second half that is exactly what that is - a benching. During the start of the second half MSU outscored Bradley 12-2 with Roberts on the bench.

Connor Hickman also got benched. When Coach took him out of the game the last time he told Connor to take the rest of the night off.

You use the same term "benching" to describe what Wardle did with both Connor and Terry. But one guy sat the rest of the game and one guy played 16 of 20 minutes in the second half. Maybe its the semantics of the wording, but those are two different things to me.

Bradley posters focus on Robert's bad start and CBW's reaction, but overlook that it was Ford's decision to start 6'8 Donovan Clay on Roberts and be physical, which led to 5 early turnovers and his uneven play. After Bradley made a surge at the end of the half, Ford scripted the first play out in the second half to go to Prim down low, and the Bears executed perfectly and regained some momentum. Ford is what he is, but he's finished ahead of Wardle 2 of 3 years, beaten him 5 of 8 , twice in Peoria, and won 3 straight. Find it interesting when a team gets beat and it's fans focus on the shortcomings of who beat them.

Let’s not forget, without Covid 3 (Primm, Mosley, Clay) of MSU’s starter’s would not be playing this year, so how good would they be? 5 of top 6 (Hemphill, Murphy, Penn, Wilkins, Brodie, Sturtz) of Drakes players would not be playing this year, so how good would they be? My guess is DeVries will be gone in April along with Drakes top seven players, leaving the Bulldogs playoff on Thursday in March 2023 along with the MSU Bears.

If you're gonna try to make a negative point about another team, you at least need to have done a little research and know of what you speak; talk about a bad take. Mosley and Clay are only juniors and both actually could play 2 more years after this one, though I doubt that. Prim and Minnett are the only 5th yr[ super srs] on MSU. Barring transfers/defections, the Bears will return everyone else next year and have a very solid 2022 class signed already. I'll leave Drake to Drake fans, but you peed down your leg about MSU.

I stand corrected on Mosley, but you are incorrect on Clay. Without the Covid transfer rules Clay would not have been eligible to transfer within conference without sitting two years. So I guess we both peed down our legs.

Except I wasn't the one trying to diss another team and didn't have my facts straight. And the transfer rule while probably quickened by covid, was happening anyway as a result of the overall move for transfers to have immediate eligibility on first time transfers. So basically you tried to dis 2 teams success and future prospects, for what reason I don't know since every team got the same benefit , but made yourself look stupid.

He wasn't necessarily eligible because of Covid. NCAA has been granting almost everyone waivers for immediate eligibility and that's not likely to change anytime soon.

As for Drake...Brodie, Sturtz and Wilkins are all true seniors. Roman Penn is a redshirt senior (sat out the transfer year). All four of those players have another year still. Only Hemphill and Murphy are in their Covid year. Not to mention you don't have Tucker DeVries as one of Drake's 6 best players.

So yeah...no one's gonna back you up on this post.
