Now let’s make sure the tournament stays in STL!

Why on Earth wouldn't it? We just replaced LUC with two very solid programs both of whom are reasonably close to St Louis and one of whom has a really strong fanbase that travels extremely well. I'm sure the Enterprise Center and CBS which airs our tournament final are fine with the form the MVC is taking.

Since there is a distinction between Illinois State (ISUr) and Indiana State (ISUb), I'd like to be the first to post the distinction between Murray State and Missouri State. Murray's primary colors are blue and gold while Missouri State's primary colors are maroon and white. So Murray State will be MSUg while Missouri State will MSUm. How 'bout that or will it just be "Murray" when differentiating between the two?

MO State and Murray will be fine. No need to ever use MSU for either school, really.

Hi. SIU fan here.

The conference made the correct decision. I suspect Daniel Mahony, SIU President as well as someone with considerable experience in intercollegiate athletics, voted with the majority to admit Murray. It seems as if he wasn’t swayed by the comments made on certain message boards.

If anyone was paying attention, they aren’t surprised this is what happened. The MVC had grown stale, they needed a shakeup.

If there was another case to be made it would be Wintrust, but I think that won’t happen anytime soon. Chicago is the only other city that makes sense.

This is hilarious. Glad Murray got in. I live on the Illinois/Kentucky border (Illinois Side, right by Paducah). Looking forward to having a real reason to hate Murray!

St Louis is still the major city nearest the geographic center. The city embraces the tournament. We've built the entire marketing plan around it.

It's been in StL for 30+ years and it'll be there for the next 30+.

The best part of this is that Thursday becomes a 4 game day. This rocks!
