Chuck has more power than ever. Basically running all things basketball with both the boys and girls associations now. Those of us involved in regional associations would definitely prefer less centralized power. Roland does a great job in his area, we try to in ours. Ultimately some of our best officials never get a shot to move up, and get burnt out. That's a problem in all levels of officiating in all sports.

I'm guessing it's a problem in every state but every state tournament game you watch seems to have 3 guys in their late 60s and 70s that can barely get up and down the floor and then we wonder why young officials quit after 5 or 6 years when they absolutely know they're better than the guys getting big games.

That's exactly why I gave up softball two years ago. Consistently great feedback from coaches and our regional guy and couldn't ever get more than a 1A or 2A regional final on the bases after 10 years while I watch guys butcher rules, not calls but rules, at the state tournament.

Literally every loss came without a full roster.

Born and Henry unavailable for Nicholls and Vermont (both tournament teams most likely)

No Berhow for Liberty and Wyoming (Liberty for sure a tournament team, Wyoming with a real shot)

Phyfe not able to play against Richmond.

The last 3 games, Marshall and Bonaventure have been the only healthy ones all year and those were either impressive road wins or absolute domination. If UNI stays healthy, they've got every chance to win the league.

I sat courtside for the UNI/MSU game. I can tell you that not having a full roster and foul trouble doomed MSU in this game. No relief for Prim, Carper (concussion) and Tada (coming off quarantine) and Sharp still nursing a hot-spot in his leg. MSU up 52-45 with 14:21 to go in the 2nd half, both Prim (out for at least 6 min) and Clay (out for 10 min) came out with foul trouble. One or the other, maybe....but both is a killer. If that doesn't happen (minus the missing players) I think MSU holds on. But, that not withstanding, I believe there is no doubt that UNI will finish top 4.
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

That was as good of a Valley game as I've seen in a long time. Mosley and Green trading big play after big play. Just incredibly high level basketball. I can't wait for the rematch in Cedar Falls.

What are you talking about? I take Jacobsen over Wardle to coach a team in a heartbeat.
Part of me is mad at that statement, part of my thinks you are trolling. I'm not even a UNI fan and what you said is nuts...

Bradley lost on a neutral site to a team that won't qualify for the Ivy League tournament.
How many wins does Wardle have compared to Jake in the NCAA Tournament?
How many wins over nationally ranked opponents does Wardle have compared to Jake?
Please stop this madness.....

Is this about Wardle and Bradley or Jacobsen and UNI??? I believe I said Jacobsen is the most disappointing valley coach this year. He was expected to contend for a title and instead is getting whacked at home by a 7 man trees squad, currently down 17!!! the madness is clearly on your end.....

You mentioned Wardle in your first post about this topic. I also believe Wardle coaches in the MVC, which would make him open for comparison in a topic of most disappointing coaching in the league.
