Mosley is the best scorer the Valley has seen since Doug McDermott. So damn good.

Doug McDermott was a great scorer. But I think Mosley is a more versatile scorer. He just scores in so many ways.

The cool thing to me is that his teammates seem to revel in it rather than worry about their own numbers. How many times do you see shooters who aren’t getting their shots force things? Or Prim- a first teamed in his own right- sees the offense change from a high-post motion offense that runs through him, to an isolation offense that plays through Mosley.

Ford (rightfully) gets a lot of criticism, but he’s done a good job shaping Mosley into the best version of himself.

Selfishly, I want Mosley to return next year, but I’m just enjoying the ride right now. When MSU was recruiting this kid, many of us thought no chance during his Junior year. He was known as the one in the trio who was a grade risk. A lot of P5 schools backed off of him. He worked hard and got his grades up and got a good score in the ACT. Coincidentally, it was his teammate who didn’t get into Missouri State. Miraculously, that player is the starting PG for Kansas and somehow got into their school after being denied entry to MSU.

Like many of us, Mosley has had to grow up some during his college years and it hasn’t been a linear path. So much joy watching these guys turn into their best selves through support of people around them, hard work on their own, and God-given talent.

Speaking of Dajuan, though I know he hasn't been a big scorer in Kansas, I do have to wonder how different things would be if he'd ended up being a Bear.

I've noted several times while we were recruiting him and often since, that the thing about Isiaih that separates him from most others is his shooting efficiency as a guard. He is the only other player outside a kid for Notre Dame that is doing a 50/45/90 currently, and if he maintains it will be only the 3rd D-1 guy in the past 30 years to do so. This week he's won MVC POW, Oscar Robertson National POW, Lute Olsen National POW,ESPN National POW, and Andy Katz named him his National POW among a lot of other notices. Plus 4 MVC POW awards and 2 Lou Henson National MM POW. Last year Isiaih shot .505 fg%, 39% 3pt, and 88 % ft,so this isn't just a hot streak , just continued maturation of a great offensive talent. But nothing like a national tv game [even if 1/3 got preempted] against a nationally ranked opponent to raise the ol' national profile.

I guess the Trees must have a real stud sine there are reports of 4 nba scouts at the game tonight. Maybe Mosely can catch a glimpse from them. ;)

Just the 3rd D-1 player since 1993 to average 20 ppg, and shoot above 50% fg, 40% 3pt, and 90% ft. That's what makes him different.
