Is Giordano’s still open by UIC?

Yes it is, good deep dish pizza.

Absolutely. And a short walk from the stadium as well.

I've heard that no matter how much lurking one does, it is never enough :P Glad to see there's some Belmont fans out there. Glad to keep Belmont as a conference rival in a new conference.

Awesome! They also have a Giordano’s in Bloomington/Normal now for your trip in to see your team play @ Illinois State.

Never. Although I will admit, Lou Malnati's is my favorite with Peaquods right there too. But in terms of proximity to the stadium, can't be Giodano's. Also a Rosati's Pizza on Halsted in the south part of campus makes some good pizza.

Never would disrespect Pequods. Chicago has so many great pizza places its hard to pick. The most unique pizza in Chicago is Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder, not close at 2121 N Clark St but excellent. It is a pizza-pot-pie. The Mediterranean bread is great as well

Is Rosati's any good? We've got 3-4 of them in the Des Moines area, but they're all carry-out only. We've got Giordano's as well. I'm still waiting to get a legit Italian Beef place here. It's the one thing I still miss the most about Chicago (other than family and friends)

I know there's a Portillos in Iowa but not sure if you're close to it. Their Italian beefs are good

Portillo's in Iowa is a 2.5 hour drive from Des Moines. Portillo's is ok....when I go back home, there's at least a dozen little mom & pop type places I'd go to for a beef before I'd go to Portillo's. But, don't get me wrong, Portillo's is still pretty good. I've got some Buona beef in my freezer right now....not as good as Portillo's, but it will get me through my next Italian Beef craving.

Sorry for taking this so far off topic. Go Belmont!

Lou Malnati’s son Rick played at Bradley in the 80s and later coached under Moser at Loyola.
