I can't imagine the meltdowns if Murray State wasn't added already. I'm guessing barring major turnover that Murray will be the clear #1 next year in the Valley, if not unanimous

This is the 3rd Murray St team to hit the top-25 in 10 years — and none of them were Ja Morant’s teams.

No. Drake, UNI, Missouri State, Bradley and Belmont all still exist.

The irony here is that say Murray was 9-2 in the Valley right now they wouldn't be ranked but would probably be a better team because of the far superior competition they would have played.

Racer fans have heard stuff like that for years and it doesn’t really hold up. If you take Auburn, Chattanooga, James Madison, Belmont, Morehead, ETSU, Illinois St, Middle TN, and Memphis and called that the “conference slate” and then took the leftovers and called it the OOC, it would be on par with the Valley, IMO. In that case the bottom dwellers would actually be better than a lot of P6 OOC because while we both would be playing poor teams, at least we went on the road.

If everybody comes back, you're probably right. I don't know how likely that actually is though.

We have a couple guys who might choose to turn pro because they would be seniors but for the COVID year. I think our best player, Tevin Brown, is very likely to turn pro simply because of his age. He redshirted as a freshman so is one year older than our other would-be seniors. There are a couple of others who could get some traction from an NCAA tournament run if that were to happen. The other question is whether our coach comes back. He's already being mentioned by sports writers for the Louisville job. I doubt he'll get that one but there will be plenty of others.

Louisville is a top-7 paying job nationally at $4+ million and a proven place where you can win a national title. No one’s turning down an opportunity to increase their salary 8-fold.

Astounding Absolutely astounding. So glad they're coming aboard. I would have been so upset if we had passed on them again this time. They are such an obvious candidate and needed to be added years ago.
