Maybe it's because I watch SIU but I feel like teams are just bolting down the court to play defense more than ever instead of trying to grab an offensive rebound. I know this is the case for SIU who are near the bottom in CBB in offensive rebounding but near the top in defensive rebounding.

I’ve been noticing it in games with teams down 1-4 possessions in the final 4 minutes, just trotting back after a missed shot and missing an opportunity for an offensive rebound. A lot of these teams are overcoached and inflexible with game situations.

Indeed. Overcoached and inflexible are great adjectives. Would rather lose doing the same thing over and over again and feel "safe".

Thanks Bradley, there goes Loyola’s chance for an at-large bid. Now zero chance of two MVC bids.

Not at all true.

Loyola was going to lose again anyway.

This is always a weird take for me. Blame Bradley for winning a game?

And Loyola is still in… for now.

Loyola having a 30 year old first time head coach started to show tonight. Wardle destroyed him on the bench and he really lost composure at the end, he was laying into Uguak pretty good in timeouts.

Oh and who cares. Lemme grab my tiny violin for poor, downtrodden Loyola.

Yes. Valentine was bad tonight. Wardle was much, much better.

I'm not even sure the Loyola talent is better than Bradley. Or Missouri State. Or UNI. Or Drake.

Just so many winning players and guys who have played in huge games.

The Valley has five good teams. Bradley is one of them.

Bradley did great tonight. That was a big win for that young team. They are going to compete for a championship next year. The league is really getting deep. If we continue to improve our existing schools and with Belmont and Murray joining, that’s going to be a league that is going to give the A10 and MWC a run for their money.

Guess you didn't get the memo. Loyola is an A10 team, not an MVC team. The best thing that could happen for the MVC is that Loyola limps into the A10, a lateral move, and goes the way of Tulsa and WSU ... rarely to be heard from again. Can't fault Creighton for moving to the Big East, but these lateral moves are dumb and short-sighted. As BU showed tonight, Loyola isn't all that. Good riddance.
