Besides the money aspect it's probably a positive that Loyola lost today if Murray can make a S16 or E8 run.

? Please elaborate, since whatever Murray does in no way helps the Valley financially.

You'd be replacing a team that lost in the first round, with a 30 win team that made a deep run. It makes the conference look like it's improving or at least maintaining its prestige.

While Murray going deeper doesn’t bring the Valley dollars directly it definitely helps the perception of the conference going forward by being a recent household name. It can also help them get better seeds and future bids should they find themselves on the bubble. For those reasons I’m a Racer fan now.

Agree 100%. New commissioner Jackson gets it. The future is bright for the Valley.

As an Aces fan of many years I have seen the Racers many times. I do love their program, and have rooted for them many times (except against UE). So very happy they are in the MVC....for many reasons. Go Racers...get to the final four....and then some:)

It will likely stay that way for a while too. I think them and Belmont are going to be in for a rude awakening when they find out that they actually have to show up every night to win MVC games. The days of 14 out of 18 conference games being gimmes are over. I think Murray and Belmont will adjust better than Valpo has, but I would be very surprised if either one of them comes in and dominates right away.
