This is why you have to look beyond individual team performance when you expand. You have to look at infrastructure, institutional commitment, etc. - the boring and sometimes hard-to-quantify stuff.

Loyola is a good example - they had the capacity, but not the pedigree. In comparison, Valpo had the better results, but not the same capacity.

I think Belmont and Murray State are going to be fine. UIC is a question mark to me and could go either way.

I'm not guessing. I'm also not guaranteeing one of them leaves. But if you aren't concerned as an SIU fan - you should be. SIU has gone 24-30 in the league while those two have been there.

I am well aware SIU hasn't been great. Jones also said this postgame:

"Use (the loss) as motivation," Jones said. "We're a really good team. We've shown that throughout the Valley season. It just comes down to sticking together and playing hard together. I feel if we do that this off-season, we'll be dominant (next year)."

Unless SIU is pushing him out for some reason, it doesn't sound like someone that's going to leave

Why do you act like a person can only talk about one team? This is a MVC message board. Not an individual team message board. People can have opinions on more than one thing. Well - people who have some form of intellect.

I think what maybe bothers some posters is that your "opinions" seem to get reported more as fact. You didn't say you "think Ja'Shon was leaving or that you "think" Lance Jones is getting tired of playing slow in SIU. You made definitive statements. That can rub people the wrong way and lend itself to credibility anytime you say anything else definitive.
