Both Demarcus Sharp and Ja'Monta Black follow former Associate HC Corey Gipson to play for him at Northwestern St. I like that, in that it'll be a huge help to Gip establishing himself in his first HC gig.

Those guys will be DUDES in the Southland.

Sharp can be really good when healthy; Black is pretty streaky, or at least has been. But a pair of experienced D-1 guards who know you, and have been productive, is a nice security blanket in your first HC gig for Gip.

A player from Mizzou decided to head to Northwestern State as well. My online grad school is Northwestern State. Sounds like they might be a lot better next year.

Walk on that showed signs in scrimmages and came off the bench and burned Evansville late in the game at Redbird.

If true, will this be the third time he's committed to an MVC School? ILST > SIU > Indian Hills > Pitt > SIU.

The Redbirds just signed one of his HS teammates but I don't believe they have interest in Payton this time around.
