Grand View Christian in Des Moines has a lot of kids from Africa. Harouna, Issa Samake at Drake and they've got a 7-1 kid right now that's a low major prospect in Daniel Tibiloba.

I stand corrected. The two have spent time those breaks together as well. I assumed they were related in some capacity. That's an interesting note about the Africa-Grand View Christian pipeline.

This does not include the Simpkins Twins, who committed under the old regime and have not signed yet. At last check in, they were still coming but the fact they have signed or set up a “signing day” event suggests to me they may not be.

Also, expected to sign the Virgina transfer this weekend.

As of now, the officially have one new recruit signed. 6’3 combo guard, BLoomington native, Colton Sandage. He’s the younger brother of former Redbird, Brandon Holtz.

Malachi Poindexter has committed.

Redbirds got a couple commits this weekend.

2022-23 Roster as it stands 4/18.
1. Freeman (g)
2. McChesney (f)
3. Lewis (f)
4. Sissoko (f)
5. Kotov (f)
6. Schmitt (g)
7. Sandage (g) Xfer from Western Illinois
8. Poindexter (g) Xfer from Virginia
9. Burford (g) Xfer from Elon
Samuels WO (g)
Stadelman WO (g)
Miller WO (g)

Pedon may be working with 2 or 4 scholarships. The previous staff got verbals from twins from North Carolina. They have been active on social media. Usually, in those cases, they are excited for the pageantry of signing day, but it's been quiet on that front. As of 4/9, they were still coming but with a couple more guards added, that may change their mind.

If Pedon is only working with two, they have to be targeting size in the forward position. If he has four, there is more flexibility and still needs to add size but it could be a couple forwards, a wing, and a guard (keeping in mind that three of the current guards are WO).

Bradley picked up a commit last night from 6'7 D2 Transfer Christian Davis. He is billed as a shooter and grew 5 inches after his senior year in high school. Led D2 Le Moyne in Points, Rebounds, and 3 point Percentage as a freshman.

We'll see how this one works out, as he may be a bit of a project. He did shoot 91% from the FT line which isn't easy to do.

Drake will keep 3 out of 3, unless someone is injured and can't play.

Is Drake the runaway favorite next year? Missouri State up there as well with Mosley. Looking forward to watching the MVC as a casual fan rather than living and dying with every game!

Don't see UNI that high w/o Green and if Phyfe isn't able to give quality minutes. That same look was a playin round team the year previously. Don't see that, but I don't see top 3. I know Born will step his game up, but looks like mostly role players around him. Now a healthy Phyfe would change that .

I get that argument but who below them can you say is definitely better? That's how we ended up with them higher than we thought we would. We started thinking that 5-6 range.

Born, Heise, Duax, Anderson, Phyfe (even limited) is as good as any group with what we know right now other than the octogenarians at Drake :) and the talent at Missouri State.
