That's your take, East Side Snobbery? I am pretty sure Aces44 doesn't even live in Evansville, but yeah, he is an east side snob.

Yes, Rodney Watson is a great guy. I have had a few conversations with him when he was here. Super nice and down to earth. You could often find him having lunch at a local bowling alley, conversing with the regulars.

He chose to quit coaching. I am pretty sure he is in his 60's, and I would bet that since he chose to retire from a successful run at USI, he is much happier sitting behind the mic, calling games for the Salukis, than jumping into a major rebuild at UE. It's a moot point.

If the new AD did this at this late stage without having someone lined up, that doesn't bode well for his tenure.

That was my first thought, but I'm hoping it isn't true. He's a real bulldog, and I'm hoping he will get the job done. I'm pretty sure the next coach won't be an older coach at the end of his career who doesn't think that losing is all that bad.
