Two A10s, ACC, AAC and MAC already on the schedule. Good schedules can be put together in our league if you're willing to do it.

So, by the logic I have read on this board, those two A10 games are equivalent to conference games in the MVC right? Yet now you applaud it? :buddies:

The MVC is comparable to the A10 and probably better than the MAC a lot of the time. But yes, they are good games to have on the schedule. Not every “good” game has to be against Duke to have a good schedule. In fact, if you get one of the bottom (6?) teams from the A10, it might actually hurt your strength of schedule. The bottom of that conference is ROUGH sometimes.

Correct. It's like playing two extra league games with top end of the league teams. No one has ever said that getting A10 games was bad, in fact we've been pushing to try to schedule more A10, MW, WCC, AAC teams. There are good games to be had at our level that we need to take better advantage of as a league.

He also included the MAC making it obvious the point was playing conferences with similar or better competition. This is picking something out of nothing.

Why does what MVC fans say on an MVC message board rile you up so much anyway? It’s especially odd considering you’ve called MVC fans “slighted lovers” yet you’re over here acting like the epitome of one.

Per Jon Rothstein:
"Saint Louis will open the 22-23 season at Chaifetz Arena on November 7th against Murray State."

Go get 'em.

UNI kicked their ass to close last season so let's keep that going with the Valley kicking their ass back to back.

At least 2 MVC teams will get a crack at SLU. Hope SIU and Murray can get a nice win here.

Making SLU 0-2 against the Valley next season is something that nearly everyone can agree on.

I'm not thinking Murray is going ot be very good at the start of the season with an entirely new team. Maybe by the end though.

Getting a good mid-major non-con schedule should be the sustained goal. Home and home games against regional non-con teams should be very high on the agenda. Nothing wrong with having games that fans can drive to, especially before the winter gets unpredictable. The mid-major leagues that don't buy into this will eventually find they need to come around.
