Looks like UIC has lost their best transfer from So Miss. Huge loss.

It's a loss, but maybe not a Huge loss. Certain things could've come into play: a better NIL deal; a closeness to Coach Dee Brown, who left; didn't meet all of UIC's requirements; didn't like the role he'd play on the team; a number of things. I still believe Coach Yak will have this team quite competitive.

I can respect that, but this is a guy who averaged nearly 15 and 8 last year, and just committed to Mississippi St. he was absolute starter from day 1 at UIC had stayed. Not sure any team can just absorb that and not consider it a huge loss, especially with UIC stepping up a weight class.

Committed to Mississippi State about an hour after announcing he had decommitted. Nothing fishy there

C'mon, Chris Jans is a fine upstanding citizen that definitely plays by not only the NCAAs rules but by his own superior code of conduct. It's the only way when you spend most of your career around Gregggggggg and Greg Heier. Frankly, the man should also win awards for his exemplary treatment of women as well.

It may be hard to know but, I wonder which team has benefited the most and has been hurt the most by transfers so far.

Missouri State could be the answer to both. Murray State certainly lost a lot to the transfer portal, too.

I think that's probably accurate; we lost our entire back court in Patterson, Black, Sharp, and Haney, a couple young players who sat one year and red shirted another in Ebonkoli and Wicks, and of course Mosley. And Keaton Hervey left at semester during the year. On paper that looks devastating, that's 5 guys who started a lot of games, and some young depth[ and of course Prim graduated]; it might prove to set us back some, but then maybe not, because of what we brought in.

We got proven back court talent in Kendle Moore, Markus Lee, and Bryan Trimble, but the big key will be in 3 guys who were top level prospects out of HS, but barely played at their respective schools, in 3 star 6'2 guard Alston Mason from Oklahoma, and a pair of top 100, 4 star wings in 6'6 Chance Moore [Arkansas] and 6'8 James Graham [ Maryland]. We also added 6'7 Daylen Ridgnal from Georgia, who was a juco AA before playing one year there. On top of that we had an excellent normal recruiting class of 3 really good freshman in 6'8 NJ Benson [who almost every MVC team in Illinois and Murray St all offered], 6'7 Jonathan Dunn, and 6'3 Damian Mayo, plus an impact juco in 6'9 Jonathan Mogbo.

I could be wrong , and it's a bold statement, but Graham might be the most talented kid we've recruited under Dana Ford ; his game is very similar to Mosley, and he's 3 inches taller . He's a high level shot maker. I don't know how Ford will keep then all happy, but I think at this point, he's just decided to recruit and sign as much talent as he can and let the chips fall.

Early reports out of Murray are encouraging. But as of now my Racers have to have lost the most in the transfer portal. At one point all our scholarship players were in the portal before one returned. As for who got the most from the portal I think that will have to be determined later on in the season.
