I don't know why I get MVC Feeds on Facebook. I thought I'd share this where it might be appreciated.

Oh, Evansville not picked for second.

Outside of the top 3, everybody else's position is a crapshoot. With so much Roster upheaval and replacement in the conference, who knows for sure how the rankings will pan out?!

If Cooper Neese and Ben Krikke are considered two of the top five players in the MVC - then the MVC isn't a very good basketball league.

Goes to these prediction magazines just pulling names out of a hat. They can't possibly put the time into watching film of the past season; film of incoming freshmen and how transfers may mesh with their new team. They just want to sell mags. My Flames team has a really nice group of freshmen, obviously they're an unproven group. We shall find out.

Is Southern going to attempt to play offense this year or just continue to pound the ball into the floor?

Jones and Domask are really good players but they're completely stifled by that system.

I also think lots of people are wildly underestimating what losing Roberts is going to do to Bradley.

Drake is the obvious favorite but the next 6 could finish in any order and it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

I hear you on Roberts but Bradley still has everyone else of consequence coming back. Only Drake and SIU can really say that - and they are also picked at the top.

I wasn't much impressed with the Blue Ribbon last year after it being so bally hoed for years. I thought the content was probably the most thorough, but the format terrible. No rosters, no graphics, no schedules ; for the price, I could have gotten 2-3 other pubs. The info was there, but totally in paragraph form which did not lend itself to quick research. So this year I'm going with "The Alamanac" which should be delivered digitally in the next week.

That said as far as the predictions, I think BR is probably close to what others will predict; but think they're a bit high on SIU and Indiana St and a bit low on Missouri State and Murray St. But no real complaints.

The reality is nobody "deserves" to be picked in second place. From an experience standpoint, SIU and Bradley have a lot and some nice pieces to work with, but both programs have plenty to prove.

I don't get how they picked Belmont so high and Murray so low (seems like Murray did much more "reloading"), but it is a very, very challenging year to predict this league.

I'll eat a shoe if Murray State is worse than Illinois State this year

I bought "The Almanac" too. The Three Man Weave guys know what they're talking about and actually pay attention to mid-majors.
