Those telecasts are distributed on linear platforms Bally Sports Midwest-Indiana-Kansas City-South-Southeast and NBC Sports Chicago plus digitally on ESPN+ outside the Bally Sports 13-state coverage footprint.

Tip of the hat to Commissioner Jackson & the league office expanding the RSN footprint to Bally Sports South & Bally Sports Southeast.

Those telecasts are going to be in more homes than the CBS Sports Net games. The Bally plus NBC Sports Chicago package is 55 million homes.

All the way to Carolinas and Georgia.

The Bally’s not being on streaming services is a big problem.

I watch the Cardinals on my Bally Sports app every night? I’ve got a Roku. Not sure if that makes a difference.

CBS Sports is in an estimated 99M households nationally. And that doesn't take into account the games available through the NCAA channel on Paramount+.

Also, it's national. That matters. Especially for a league that likes to complain about not getting enough attention/respect/whatever nationally. The regional packages are nice, don't get me wrong. But when they are celebrated in place of losing national exposure, then I get irritated.

It's 'available' in 99M homes but it's only actually in about 52M as it sits in the sports tier for most cable companies and isn't on many of the streaming services.

Your point on 'National' is absolutely valid, however.

We didn’t lose the national CBSSN package. They just haven’t published that release yet.

Right. Losing was a poor choice of words there on my part. Should be read as "in place of"

Would you rather be Davidson, which had basically half of their games on national TV last year, or be a Valley fan looking for your game on Bally Southeast?

It's great that we have the options that we do, but I get a little leery celebrating the options that really aren't that great.
