Saturday's games

Home team in CAPS. Opening lines given. 30-20 ATS so far this year.

INDIANA STATE (-10) vs. Southern Illinois

The Sycamores are 5-0 ATS in thier last 5 conference games. They have been strong in this spot all year at 5-2 ATS as a conference favorite and 5-3 ATS in conference home games. The Salukis are a money pit lately. They are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games. They are 2-5-1 ATS in conference road games and only 3-7-1 as a conference dog. It's a good size number but the trends say play Indiana State. PREDICTION: Indiana State 70-55.

CREIGHTON (-3) vs. Northern Iowa

Creighton is a strong 5-3 ATS in conference home games and 6-3 ATS as a conference favorite. The Panthers have struggled at 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games. They are 3-5 ATS in conference road games. Creighton is a play.
PREDICTION: Creighton 67-60.

EVANSVILLE (-6.5) vs. Illinois State

Evansville has played well in these spots going 6-2 ATS in conference home games including 4-0 ATS in their last 4. They are 3-1 ATS as a conference favorite. The Redbirds are 1-5 ATS in their last 6. They are 4-4 ATS in conference road games and 5-7 ATS as a conference dog. Evansville never seems to beat anyone by a big number but need to play them here. PREDICTION: Evansville 70-60

BRADLEY (-2) vs. Drake

Bradley is only 2-6 ATS in conference home games and 2-2 ATS as a conference favorite. Drake is 3-5 in conference road games, but they have been hot lately going 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games. They are also 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games as a dog. Despite the strong recent play, we need to pass. PREDICTION: Bradley 73-72.

MISSOURI STATE (-2.5) vs, Wichita State

Now for the big one. The Shocks have revenge for the earlier home loss at the hands of Missouri State. This is their first conference game as an underdog. Wichita is 0-3 ATS in their last 3 games, but they are 7-1 ATS in conference road games, the only loss being a 1/2 point at Evansville. The Bears have been an automatic play against lately. They are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games. They have struggled all year as a conference favorite only going 4-9-2 ATS, and amazingly they have not covered a home conference game yet going 0-6-2 ATS. The trend continues. PREDICTION: Wichita State 75-71.

If I were to pick a "lock" I'd definitely go with CU. I wouldn't expect it to be that close.

I think you are giving CU too much credit. We are poor at perimeter defense and I have a feeling Kwadzo and UNI will go off from 3 making this a close game. Yes, we have an advantage inside but we tend not to take advantage of that and will probably end up chucking alot of 3's. This season has made me very cynical of this CU team...no game CU plays is a lock imo.

With the exception of the MSU-WSU game, none of these other games matter so I am interested to see how the coaches elect to play. Do they get guys a little extra rest? Does either coach in the UNI-CU game do anything out of the ordinary considering they are going to play again on Friday afternoon?

BU-DU also play a "double-header"...today and in St Louis. Anybody else playing the same opponent back to back?

The worst part of this annihilation of Drake by BU is that its not on thursday. I highly doubt wedel will be scoreless and warren will have 30, i expect the drake bombs to fall in st louis but i certainly hope the same two teams that showed up tonight do so on thursday
