Is this the worst team that Ben Jacobson has put together? Bradley played terrible and still won by double digits. It felt like a buy game.

Very disappointing end. The first ~30 minutes was good for UNI.

Not having Phyfe is really tough. Not having carter is also. Henry injured, Heise injured.

Going to be a tough year, obviously. But our defense is actually good for this early in the season.
And there are offensive sparks. Bowen played ~24 minutes per game last year. Tytan played ~8.
We’re on the lower area of the learning curve. I believe this will be a different team in two months.

Good news for Panther fans that Born is a freshman. Looking forward to seeing how the kid develops!

Nah. 2017-18 was far worse. That team didn't have much talent to start with and then got buried with injuries. Funny enough that team also got bombed in Peoria and then beat Bradley in Cedar Falls.

This team is talented, it's just really, really young.

UNI will be fine. It'll be nice to get home and play some actually bad teams (Evansville, McNeese, USF) here for a stretch and get some confidence going for the young guys.

This team will be totally different by the middle of January.

Born is clearly our experienced leader (UNI fans know he is not a freshman). But other than him, all of our players are having to step up into new roles on the team. This isn't a team built to take down #1 ranked teams like we've had in the past, but we will be dangerous in conference and at the tournament. Count us out in February at your own peril.

Drake/Indiana State game was a fun one to watch. Im a fan of the new-look Hulman Center.

Blue tint looks great. Hulman Center sounded loud on tv too.

Actually young outside of Born and Heise. Campbell, Duax, Wolf are all freshmen playing for the first time and Betz, Henry (when he gets healthy), Daniel and Krogmann are all playing real minutes for the first time. Anderson is somewhere in between, played 8ish minutes a night last year and 32 this year.

And I'm with you on the roster stuff. I can't for the life of me figure out why we're doing it that way and it's across all sports. Football is even harder than basketball to keep straight.

Interesting takes on UNI. Obviously you guys watch them more than we do. Will be interesting to see how they progress. I did like Campbell. If Anderson can develop a shot of any kind he has a chance as well.
