Sycamores pick up a very rare win at SIU 74-71, lost a big 14 point lead, then regained it back near the end and held on to get a key road win. After years and years of having nothing to cheer about ISU finally has a team that could finish near the top in MVC play this year.

Redbirds had a nice short-handed win tonight. One starter out, another starter injured early and out for the rest of the game, and a key back up played a few minutes due to ankle injury.

Congrats. It'll be 15 years and counting for SIU and no sign of competing anytime soon.

Keep your head up, I think that's a pretty darn good Sycamore team you lost to tonight.

Yeah SIU only beats bad teams. They went 1-9 against the top 5 in the Valley last year. Off to a 0-1 start this year. Wouldn't be shocked if the Braves and Drake sweep them and obviously the Trees now.

Missouri State loses at St Mary's 66-46 after being down just 5 at the half.

The Bears are not really capable of beating anyone with a pulse who is well coached. They have the talent to beat bad teams, so they'll probably hover around .500 and every once in awhile (like against MTSU) things will randomly come together for them and they'll blow out a solid team.

They play really hard on defense which helps, and have good athleticism and size, but I have no clue what they are trying to do on offense. It's boring, slow, and without any sort of plan. It reminds me actually a bit of some of Muller's Redbird teams which I never understood why they weren't better because they looked great coming out of the locker room. Ford's "system" worked when you had guys like Mosley and Prim who could get their own buckets at will, but this years group isnt built for that.

Seems like most Bears fans are about ready for Ford to move on, but thats not gonna happen this year. He's elevated the program for sure above where Lusk had it, but it's his deficiencies with X's and O's is really holding the program back.

Wow, 15 years....I remember when that came and went. Bears fans are at 23 years and counting, with no sign of competing anytime soon.
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

This has to be the worst UNI team I can remember. Just lost to one of the worst teams in college basketball in McNeese.
