Didn’t even realize until this thread that all the finales are now on Sunday instead of Saturday.

Good thing that didn’t happen in 2015, otherwise #9 UNI/#11 WSU wouldn’t have gotten College Gameday.

They moved it this year to get better potential TV slots with fewer strong games to compete against. The national slate that day isn't that strong so the UNI-Belmont and Drake-Bradley games could really get some decent national media attention. Also, we are likely to get better refs on Sunday than we are on Saturday with fewer games to go around.

Exactly this. It was a shame that last year's UNI-Loyola winner take all was buried on ESPNU with Roland Simmons, Dave Cusick and Kevin Driver calling it. I'd actually like to see us play more Sundays just simply for the officiating.

I don't remember who wrote the classic 'Saturday Night in The Valley' piece on officiating on Saturdays but it's only gotten worse. We don't get any of the top guys anymore on Saturdays and it actively hurts the level of games played on Saturdays.

Saturdays are much better for attendance, especially when you have early 11:30 AM games like at Northern Iowa. Can’t imagine they’ll draw much of a crowd with church.

Malevy Leons is on the verge of becoming the first player in Valley history to record 50 steals and 50 blocks in the same season. At present he has 46 steals and 48 blocks.

Just listened to the new March Arch and heard Oren say Valpo has been selling off University owned art and other things. Is Valpo really that cash strapped? Yikes
