Bradley was actually a 15 seed in 2019 in Des Moines playing against Michigan State. Aren't they supposed to try and get teams closer to their campus and even allow the committee to move teams up or down a seed to make that happen? The problem becomes that there aren't enough teams out west to fill those regions.

Columbus Ohio and Denver are the two closest other regionals for Drake.


Correct. After 'protecting' the Top 4 seeds they are to place everyone else as close to home as possible.

With 4/5 seeds being lowest in the pecking order 12/13s tend to get shipped farther than 7-10s. I would imagine Drake ends up in Albany or Orlando.
