I definitely feel for Bradley fans , especially if Mast ends up playing college basketball elsewhere next year. But I do remember it was just a couple years ago as the portal was just becoming impactful, that fans from a couple of the schools not yet significantly impacted, told the rest of us, if you have good culture you won't lose players to the portal . It just isn't that simple; not saying culture isn't big, but there are so many factors at play in why these kids are moving around , to think you won't be impacted is naive.

Mast has the credits to graduate in May and is a physics major. Bradley does not have a graduate program in Physics, so maybe that has something to do with it? I figured it was 50/50 at best whether he came back next year, as I figured he'd go pro and start making money in Europe.

Will be interested to see where he goes and what kind of offer's he'll get, as he is not super athletic. He struggled mightily against the 7'0 from Wisconsin in our NIT game. I have no qualms with him going somewhere else as he was a complete stud the last 2 years.

Seems that most Bradley fans baked into the cake that he was likely walking, but like you say the assumption was that it was to return to Europe. Maybe it still is, but at minimum he’s at least open to an offer to reconsider based off today’s entry into the portal.

Yeah, with him graduating I had no expectation he would return, would have been a pleasant surprise. Ville is also apparently not using his extra year and going to pursue pro option back home. That is what most Bradley fans expected I think. Or should have if they were being honest with themselves.
