Wow, know that is an impressive lineup! UNI will be young, but even if you don't win a game, still great experience moving forward.
Hopeful the Salukis can add a solid MTE as well.

UNI won't really be young next season will they? How many years in a row does a program get to say that?

Nah. Not young anymore. Tons of experience back to mix with a really talented class. The record needs to take a massive step next year.

How does Jacobsen get in to those tournaments? I don't realistically think anybody else in the Valley could get in a tournament like that.

Jacobson is the only one in the conference that schedules tough every year whether they're going to be good or it's a rebuilding year.

Edit: Think Dana Ford does a good job too and maybe 1 or 2 others. But other coaches in the conference need to pick it up.

It's funny you say Dana Ford because scheduling is one of the things that Ford's detractors within the fanbase will go to when they're looking to criticize. For example, we haven't played a Power 5 school in 3 seasons. We hardly ever get anyone with a pulse to come to Springfield. (BYU last year being an exception. Ford seems to want to schedule (he has said this on his radio show) mid/low major teams that he thinks will compete for their league title instead of mid-low tier P5 schools. This year, for example, we played BYU, St Mary's, Oral Roberts, UNC-Wilmington, Middle Tennessee all of which had really good teams. We were supposed to play Sam Houston but that game was canceled due to weather.

They weren't even that young last season. Their starters had the following experience

3rd year in the program
1st year in the program
2nd year in the program
3rd year in the program
4th year in the program

That doesn't even count that Heise got hurt. I'm not saying UNI is super old or anything but the myth that UNI is super young is overblown, mainly because they classify all of their players eligibility different than everyone else in the league and people seem to not realize it. That stat everyone showed was the one taken from kenpom about D-1 experience, but that is just taken directly from the UNI player classification. Totally skewed.

He gets them because he's been around forever, is really well respected nationally and has gone to tournaments like this and won games. Last time we played at Atlantis, we played in the championship game. Maui is about the only major one we haven't been to and I know he's worked his ass off to get into that one but it just hasn't happened yet.
