Where is the evidence of this?

Part of the environment, across the spectrum, is that you can expect to get squeezed year to year. Playing time and role matter, and finances do too. Nobody could offer as much assurance to Zek as far as the former than Bradley could. His camp wanted to press on the 2nd point.

The key for MVC teams will be making proper valuations and risk assessments. When you are getting squeezed by someone on the roster, there needs to be a realistic threshold or risk area that the school will not shake the money tree, and might instead wish you well in your future endeavors. Zek walked, but now the onus is on the staff to hit on the replacement.

Nebraska Basketball? Thought Mast wanted to go to a winning program at the highest level? Guessing Illinois and Purdue were not interested. Oh well, at least the cheerleaders are friendly. :D

Your best player leaving a regular season champion to play for the Big 10 doormat.

Rienk screwed up and waited too long. He farted around and Iowa took Krikke after Mast wouldn't decide. Florida wanted him as well but ended up taking someone else. Same with Cincinnati.

In the end it was Nebraska. He gave Bradley all that was ever asked of him. He is graduating in May. I never expected him to be back for a fifth season.

To be fair, I'm not sure Iowa preferred Mast over Krikke anyway.

Nebraska had a fair amount of young players last year and it showed with their horrid B1G results. Mast is going to have an opportunity for minutes against some good competition. I'm guessing he'll end up averaging something like 8.5 points and 7 rebounds.

I typically like rooting for former MVC guys, but if he’s going to Nebraska, he is evil and must be destroyed.

Iowa wasn’t going to wait. Krikke was ready to commit. Rienk was not.
