Tragic news today in Springfield as area basketball mentor and former Missouri State Bears star Robert Yanders has passed away at age 44. No details as to cause of death have been made public yet. Yanders who has mentored and help train and develop countless area basketball players over the years thru individual training work, his AAU program "Yanders Law, and more recently by starting the "We are United" prep program in Nixa. Some of his most recent players have included Trevon Brazille [ Ark] Isaac Haney [ Austin Peay] and Anton Brookshire. Sad day for Springfield area basketball community.
