Four of their Six Conference Losses:
1-21 Lost 58-54 (had possession down 56-54 with 15 seconds)
1-18 Lost 59-50 to Valparaiso
3-18 Lost 71-64 to Southern Illinois
5-23 Lost 67-60 to Belmont

Very frustrating. One positive take from the game was the play of freshmen Johnny Kinziger and Chase Walker. Looking forward to (hopefully) three more years watching them playing for the Redbirds.

They wouldn't even have to shoot threes well to have won several more games. Just shoot a poor percentage would be good enough, instead they shoot as bad as I've seen any team. One for 21 from outside the arc today?

Ragged first half in Terre Haute. Both teams not shooting the ball very well. Avila and Hickman both have two points at the half. Sycs guards really playing well.

Bradley kept in the game by 10 huge first half points by freshman Almar Atlason.

And the first 10 minutes of the second half have been amazing offensive basketball.

Duke Deen has 19 second half points with 10 to go. Bradley up two.

Will be difficult for Bradley to get the #1 Seed now. With the loss Indiana State (technically) holds a three game lead over them. #1 seeds is going to be huge this year. #2 seed vs #3 seed is going to be a war (not that the #1 vs #4/#5 winner will be a cakewalk).

Well that game lived up to the hype and then some. Probably one of the best MVC games I've seen in recent memory. Both teams throwing haymakers until the end. Congrats on the win Trees.

I’m curious to see how Sycamore fan turnout looks in St. Louis this year with as much as Terre Haute loves that team.

I would say Murray’s 20-point collapse against SIU was even worse than SIU’s 23-point collapse against Bradley because at least Bradley was pretty much hitting everything in sight in their comeback, which wasn’t totally the case for the Salukis, who had several dry possessions at key times in the last 5 or so minutes. Wild for Southern to be on both sides of those meltdowns in like a 10-day span.

Scottie Ebube was a classic case of the box score not telling the story yesterday (though he had eight rebounds and a few blocks and steals). His extra effort and energy was the catalyst for the comeback. That win at least keeps Southern in the mix for a top-4 spot for a while longer but they’re going to need to play better ball for longer spurts to stay there.
