Do not let idiot talking heads or twitter heads fool you this week. Indiana State is getting in. Omitting a team with a 26 NET and solidly above the cutline in all the critical predictive metrics is EXCEPTIONALLY RARE.

100% this.

The talking heads need to create drama.

I know RPI isn't used anymore, but Drake is 9th in RPI currently.

I want to believe. I really do.

Indiana State is good, sometimes really, really good and their numbers look the part. They also do not have a lot of meat in terms of quality wins on their resume and I can see them being left out. Mid-majors don't often get the benefit of the doubt.

I wouldn't be mad if they end up in a First Four game. That could be a recipe for a couple of wins in the dance.

Here's hoping for chalk in every other conference tournament.

Iowa losing tonight helps. They now HAVE to have multiple wins in the B1G tournament and I don't see that happening.

Lunardi’s update
https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story ... redictions

Drake is a 10-seed.

Indiana State is 4th-to-Last Team In. 4 teams would have to pass Indiana St. That jumps to 6 teams if FAU/Dayton win their autobids.

The MVC has not dropped to 10th in NET rankings. ISU is 29 and Drake is 47.

If the committee snubs Indiana State with an effing 26 NET might as well burn it all to the ground.

Unfortunate that Bradley's AD was the chair last year. I bet if he was the chair now they wouldn't do that to him.

Jerry Palm doesn't even have the Sycs sniffing a bid.

Wouldn't matter, you aren't in the room when they discuss your conference . Plus the committee membership is always at least 50% P6 even though they only represent 20% of membership. It's stacked in every way.

Doug Elgin was on the committee for years and stepped out of the room when discussing Valley teams and yet every time the MVC bubble team got in. Personal relationships matter, especially when everyone is stuck for a week in a pressure cooker watching games and pouring over data together.
