C'mon Flames.

No kidding. A Northern California guy who has maybe spent three days total in his life in Chicago.

Whenever there’s off-the-wall hires, look to the administration for connections.

The #2 in UIC’s AD was at UAB when he was coach.

When can the MVC office expect UIC's withdrawal letter?

WTF are they thinking?

I’m not a fan of Mullins by any stretch but at the very least he would have brought AAU connections and probably brought the entire SIU roster with him. I would have picked him over this unless he didn’t want the job.

He will only take a head coaching job that is a “perfect fit” in the future. He is weighing a few options right now, some as an assistant, some in “other” assistant roles. I don’t believe he is considering any head coaching jobs right now with the bad taste in his mouth.

What a disappointing last 12 hours for MVC fans.

Nothing says "we're ready to finally compete in the Valley" like hiring Rob Ehsan. Hope it works out for them.

Oh, I forgot UAB was in CUSA when he was coach, so his tenure wasn’t even compiled in an MVC-adjacent league like the AAC.

Silicon Valley salesman must’ve made quite the pitch.

Chicago State has a better coach than UIC right now. That guy went 3-2 against NCAA Tournament teams and picked up a Quad 1 win this year at the worst job in the country.

When you just got fired are you really in a position to hold out for the "perfect fit?"
