Apparently the Beat Writers are getting their turn on Oct. 17th. Wheeler and Oren seemed fine with the trade off.

As for Valpo, with Stafford's uncertainty I can abide by a 10th place ranking. However, they are not going to finish as low as 10th IMOP
Verified Valpo Hater's biggest op

It's nice not seeing Evansville and Valpo picked for the final two spots again.

Those are the weakest all conference teams I can ever recall.

I would've preferred the traditional media day with press conferences and coaches fielding questions from guys who are ingrained in the league. Your Paul Oren's and Wyatt Wheelers of the world. To this point, interviews have been pretty weak.

Agreed. Dauster and Goodman are fine, but they don't know spit about the MVC.

The continuing demise of local journalism is at play here. Smaller staffs, lower budgets, more responsibilities. These ain't the good ol' days.

Not the whole story but yeah pretty sad tbh

UIC might be the best last place team we've ever had. I think they can finish pretty high if they gel.

This board got a lot less unhinged and nutjoby when WSU left.

It's been a lot nicer here.

UIC will not be anywhere near last unless their coach in inept.

Which could very well be the case but they’ve brought in more talent than almost anyone in the MVC. 10 years ago we’d write them off and put them last due to too much turnover but they’re in the same boat as almost anyone this year.

This board was unreadable and unusable during those 2013-2017 years. I have no doubt it pushed a lot of people out.

It’s been so much better the last 7 years. It’ll never be what it was activity-wise simply because message boards in general became obscure as most people use Twitter, Reddit, or other social media apps. Before those apps became prevalent, everyone would just search for the appropriate message board.
