Haven't seen anything yet. Drake's media day is tomorrow. In addition to a non-conference schedule (choke) maybe we'll get some news on this.

Wait, Drake hasn't announced a non-conference schedule? It's Oct 15 and the season starts in 2 1/2 weeks.

That's going to put a dent in ticket revenue. People can't buy single game tickets to games that don't officially exist.

I honestly don't think it hurt ticket revenue that much. We know most of the games, and there isn't a home game that would get a lot of advance sales. It just isn't a very impressive look for a new staff. Basically every other D1 team has their schedule out so we know the games are 99% likely to be non-D1. Ironically a staff mostly from non-D1 programs can't find non-D1 programs to fill out a schedule.

Drake was trying to get way too cute and particular when building its schedule this spring/summer. Hopefully the new staff learned a little something.

McCollum gives off 'I'm always the smartest guy in the room' vibes. I think he's a very good coach but I don't know how well his ego adjusts to DI. He's kind of the opposite of Josh Schertz personality wise.

Drake has posted a schedule. Zero true road games. Two NAIA games. Pretty sad effort.

He's a nice guy, but he definitely gives off those vibes. He also has a habit of using the word "we" instead of "I" during interviews, which for some reason bugs the hell out of me.

Who cares? They will only put 2-3k in the seats again this year per usual

But they do have a game against K State in Kansas City, a neutral court matchup against Miami and potential games in Charleston against Oklahoma State, Florida Atlantic, Seton Hall, VCU, Vanderbilt, or Nevada. Works for me.
